Who is your favorite thinker pt 2.
by The Rebel inonce upon a time i started a thread who is your favorite thinker and got many responses.
however revisiting that thread i noted we were to modest to name ourselves or fellow posters.
i therefore think we are either complete idiots, or modesty aside we should now name names, and restrict our answers to posters on the board.. so who on this board is your favorite thinker and why?.

P.s this competition is now open to nominate both past and present posters. (No disrespect to current posters, but it would be nice to create a thread)

Modesty aside I would like to nominate myself " The Rebel" who I think should be referred to as " His Holiness" . O.K. If there are no other nominees I WIN.

Availability Crisis of Conscience.
by Ben131895 inmost of us are desperately waiting for the availability of a legal crisis of conscience.
deborah dykstra provided us with two updates.
on december 12, 2015 there was a clear statement about the copyright which stopped all illegal activity in spreading electronic versions & prints.. finally, she promised a new update by or before may 6.. so far no new update.

I think if " Crisis of conscience" was readily available for PURCHSE, it would appeal to a very small circle of current doubting witnesses, and those that do purchase would have already found the answers they are looking for. This is because I believe the theme that made " crisis of conscience" so important was the identifying of the corruption of the G.B, However that corruption of those past egotists, is continuing to be repeated today by current G.B members and therefore the past evidence becomes less abstruct.
I believe that the current exposure, and the holding up to the light of Georry Jackson lying under oath at the Australian " Royal Commission" his lying about child abusers is of much more value than history. I write this because today we have the very essence of evil, current evil, and future evil of the G.B. This is what will awaken current members, not history.
The organisation is alive in its evil. not alive in its past evil. Past evils can be forgiven by members, but no witness in a " crisis of concience" should be forgiven if they accept the current evil of the " G. B" with a good "concience".
Therefore I believe a witness who can forgive past mistakes in the book " crisis of concience" will not find it so easy with a good "concience" to live with present accounts of Watchtower evil that are harder to ignor.

slimboyfat joins the Mormons!
by slimboyfat ini know that some people on the board have experience of being mormons, so i would be interested in your feedback.
at church this afternoon it was an uncanny experience.
in the past i've read a lot about mormons, so i thought i was prepared in general for what it would be like.

Slim so Accorrding to you 2+2 5 gave the best answer " Nobody can be sure if the Mormons teach any truth from the perspective of a worm"
We could also say from a worms perspective the Mormon church doesn't exist. In fact maybe the Mormon Church doesn't exist, or it only exists by the false thinking of people. But then does money exist?
I put it to you Slim your chosen Church of the month exists, be it Mormon, Cathalic, Witness or whatever, because it's all about the MONEY not the INDIVIDUAL. I hope you are worm enough to accept that?

That good old JW rumour mill
by punkofnice inbecause i simply decided the watchtower corporation wasn't the truth(tm) i was da'd in a secret jc that i didn't attend.
i was writing songs with a friend that day instead.. jws wasted no time in labelling me as an evil villain.
the rumours abounded.. i was labelled as 'a false prophet'.

Punk, I think the question should be WHY do Jehovers Witnesses bother with the rummer mill?
I have concluded they know the rummers are all B.S. (Bullshit) but it's more fun than the other type of B.S ( Bible Study)
On a serious note, if the elders make an announcement that a person is no longer a J.W, it creates a rummer mill. Ok it may seem ridiculous, but I believe what we the victims of the malicious rummer mill can forget is that it's very harmful to those" people" who engage in spreading such rummers. I mean their but for " OUR" leaving the organisation could be " YOU" or " I". Think about that.
I believe the " rummer mill" is deliberately created by the G.B, therefore I would rather be a victim than part of it.

Slim " I don't believe all the doctrines"
The Rebel. I am sure this won't be a problem, provided you consider it a blessing to have the opportunity of donating 10% of your income to the church?
The Mormon Church: " Rebel, please remember that the lord isn't asking for 10% but he is giving us 90% and then blessings on top"
The Rebel." Ok that explains it"

I realize now my father I believe had " aspergers" " ( although not diagnosed)
Our parents are who they are, and I do not hate my mum & dad for being who they are, on the contary I appreciate how they love me in their own way. But growing up with strict witness parents and a father who I now believe has " asperges"" wasn't easy,
Anyway I am glad I am now loving my life, but the point I want to make is I love my wife and I love my son of 11, and I realize we each as individuals, have so many imperfections. Today I have realized my dad had many problems that " faked" my life up, but he is my dad and I am sure he is a nice guy,
The really important point I am trying to make is, that the relationship between parents and children can have great love and horrible pain, but I won't let my parents down and say I don't love them. It has just taken a lot of time for me to realize a dad may have problems with love that I never understood.
On a positive I have put my " Witness" upbringing behind me, I understand my parents inability to show love and I always tell my boy and wife I love them before we go to bed, and my boy still kisses me goodnight and says he loves me before he goes to sleep.
